This privacy policy describes how RTU Monitor ("we," "our," or "the App") handles information when you use our iOS application.

TL;DR: RTU Monitor does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data. All RTU communication and configuration data remains on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

RTU Monitor is designed with privacy in mind. We do not:

Collect personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
Collect location data
Store your RTU connection credentials on external servers
Transmit your operational data to third parties
Use cookies or tracking technologies
Sell or share any user data

Data Stored on Your Device

The following information may be stored locally on your iOS device:

Connection configurations — IP addresses, port numbers, and connection settings for your RTUs
BLE adapter settings — Paired Bluetooth serial adapter information
Trend data — Historical data points retrieved from your RTUs for trending and analysis
App preferences — Display settings, units, and user preferences

This data remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app from your device.

Third-Party Services

RTU Monitor connects directly to your RTUs via TCP/IP or Bluetooth serial adapters. These connections are made from your device directly to your equipment. We do not act as an intermediary.

The App Store version of RTU Monitor may use Apple's standard analytics services as provided by iOS. You can control whether this data is shared in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Data Security

Your RTU data and connection configurations are stored using iOS's secure data storage mechanisms. However, you are responsible for:

Securing your RTUs and network infrastructure
Using appropriate network security (VPNs, firewalls, etc.) when connecting remotely
Protecting physical access to your iOS device

Children's Privacy

RTU Monitor is an industrial utility application not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete from our systems. All your data is under your control on your device.
